The book is is a guide to those surprising and inspiring urban spaces, which aim to create more sustainable cities in Europe. The five chapters ‘Live’, ‘Eat and Drink’, ‘Buy’, ‘Work’ and ‘Play’ lead us to 111 projects and essays by authors like Ben Hammersley, Maria Popova and Adam Greenfield. Each chapter starts with illustrations by Klas Ernflö, Emmanuel Romeuf, Paula Troxler, Antoine Corbineau and Ville Savimaa. The book engages with alternative ways to live, eat , buy, work and play in the city.
